Freeman Schwabe recommends that the hydraulic fluid in a die cutting press be changed every 2000 hours of operation or annually, whichever occurs first.
The old hydraulic fluid should be removed and all accessible residue be wiped out of the reservoir.
All suction strainers should be cleaned or replaced, as well as any inline “spin-on” filters.

The OFCS Series is a compact self-contained filtration system equipped with high efficiency, high capacity elements capable of removing particulate contamination and/or water quickly, conveniently and economically.

It is perfect for cleaning up existing systems as well as pre-filtering new fluids.

New fluids often have contamination levels significantly higher than that recommended for most hydraulic systems. This is why we recommend using a transfer pump that utilizes an inline filter, even for new fluids.

The most attractive feature of the new OFCS Series is the significant reduction in noise, being reduced from 91 decibels to 72 decibels at full load. Additional improvements include a modular base that eliminates hoses and fittings between components, a drip pan, and easier element servicing. The OFCS single filtration unit can remove either water or particulate contamination.
