LVT Market Growth to Continue 

The Floor Covering Industry, especially the resilient Luxury Vinyl Tile category, is a key sector for SCHWABE USA cutting presses.

The latest projections of the industry is for continued positive growth in 2019 which is good news for SCHWABE USA.

The latest edition of Floor Covering Weekly expects “another stellar year for the resililient category”

David Sheehan, senior vice president, product management, Mohawk Resilient is quoted as saying:

“The rigid LVT category has been growing at a rapid pace, and in fact it is driving nearly all the growth in floor covering, not just within LVT.

It’s growing so rapidly and taking such a significant amount of market share that the rigid category alone is driving most of the growth in the industry.

We predict that that dynamic is going to continue in 2019.”

Sourcing continues to Move Back to USA

While the majority of Luxury Vinyl Tiles sold in USA are still being manufactured in Asia, but things may change if the 25% tariff is introduced.

Many industry leaders have already started to reshore production to US and this likely to continue, especially if the tariffs reduce demand for imported LVT.
