Cutting HVAC Fiberglass on a Roll with Belt Clamp Feed System
SCHWABE USA Straight Ram Hydraulic Beam Press
Model SR230
Demo shows one layer of HVAC Fiberglass material being cut, please note the press is capable of cutting multiple layers of the HVAC material.
General Specifications
Country of Manufacture – USA
Cutting Force – 230 U.S. Tons
Bed Size – 70”W x 75”D
Head Size – 71”W x 76”D
Die boards are 70”W x 75”D plus up to a half inch on each side. Extra 1” added to the platen to allow for die boards to easily slide into the die rails when in there out most position
Cutting Stroke – 8”
Daylight Opening – 9” from head to bed without cutting surface.
Cutting Surface – Nylon Belt (belt type to be confirmed after test cutting has been performed)
Pneumatic Adjustable Die Rails –
Dies to be loaded from the outfeed side of the machine. Rails to run the depth of the platen and manually adjustable in the
width direction to allow die boards of different widths and depths. Minimum die board width must be at least 33.5”.

Safety Guarding – Meets or exceeds all OSHA machine safety requirements including specification 1910.217(f) as interpreted by Manufacturer.
-Head Safety Block – For working under the head of the press.
-E-Stop Safety Relays – These relays provide 3 primary functions:
-Detect faults on safety-related electrical control circuits (i.e. faults in sensors, wiring, contactors, etc.)
-Provides an ensured switching action.
-Provides a manual reset facility.
-Outfeed guarding
-Swing up guard (with interlocks) for convenient access to the cutting area. Guarding to be supported with heavy duty gas shocks. Outfeed guard to cantilever backwards past 180° in the up/down direction with pins to be added to prevent guarding from falling during die change
-Infeed/Outfeed Guarding: to be plexiglass (or similar material) and not mesh
-Infeed guard door will slide open to avoid interference with HPU
Bellows Protection – Reduces chance of premature failure of precision components due to abrasive environment. Protective
boots on the center guide and four (4) cylinders
Allen Bradley Compact Logix Controls
Panel Control – Location of the electrical panel to be on the left side of the press form the infeed. Allen Bradley CompactLogix controls which allows die recipe storage, assuming only rolled goods are ran, of 2,600-2,800 (approximately).
Upgraded electrical enclosure to help prevent debris from production material from entering the enclosure. Due to tighter seal of the enclosure, an air conditioning until will be installed on the until opposed to a standard exhaust fan.
Includes various production/maintenance reports (screens) menu driven as well as computerized diagnostics with Ethernet capability for telephone diagnostics/trouble-shooting.
